THE BACKHAUSEN ARCHIVE

The exhibition Poetry of the Ornament at the Leopold Museum shows a representative selection of exhibits from the Backhausen Archive to a broad public for the first time. The presentation affords insights into the tradition-steeped company’s unique archive, made up of several thousands of objects, which was given to the museum in 2023 as a permanent loan.
